John D. Mercer, P.E.

John D. Mercer is the founder of John D. Mercer & Associates, and since the Lynn Engineering acquisition, he maintains the duties of managing the operations of its Edna office.

John has more than thirty-nine years of civil and environmental engineering experience. His career includes both design and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities. This combination of experience provides for an approach to design that is not easily found in other consulting or design firms.

He is Engineer-in-Charge of projects in Galveston, Jamaica Beach, Santa Fe, Richwood, Tiki Island, Freeport and Surfside Beach.

His qualifications include a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lamar University, he is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas, and NACE Coating Inspector Level 1.
